We are a business built upon love itself, a husband and wife duo who both play completely different roles but work extremely well together to create a beautiful thing. Between us, we have a range of skills ranging from graphic design, floristry, joinery and more.
​
Unlike many, we are a small independent business so you're guaranteed that both of us will be at every single wedding alongside our styling assistants. And because we're not a huge company with multiple weddings a day, we truly know our customers and the details of their upcoming wedding inside out. To us, you're not just a client who will pay our bills (although thank you for that), but you're someone we care about. You'll never just be a number to us because we are passionate about what we do, we hand make every little detail and so much thought goes into making your day perfect because we're so grateful for you choosing us.

ABOUT US
We're Jade & Joe, husband and wife and co-owners of The Wedding Attic. We've recently moved into our dream home in Melton Mowbray with our two small children so when we're not styling your beautiful weddings, we're making our new house a home.
​
We're sure you're not here to read our life story but we feel it's important to know who you're working with as it's such a personal service. So in a nutshell..
We became friends in 2013, made it official in 2017, had our first baby in 2018, got engaged in 2020, had our second baby in 2021 & tied the knot in 2022.. it was a busy few years!

We're an open book so any other questions just ask, but in the meantime, back to business.
We assumed this would be a 'side hustle' alongside our full time jobs, but that didn't last for long. Jade actually already owns a business; Inspirique Baby Photography, which is where it all began. We used the third floor of the photography studio as a showroom, hence the 'attic' in our name. And Joe was a prison officer at the time of starting the business, which is a slightlyyy different career to weddings.
The Wedding Attic grew way faster than we could have ever imagined, so after just a few short months Joe handed his notice in at the prison to run the business full time behind the scenes, doing all of the admin and logistics, whilst Jade kept her photography business running as normal and just sticking to the customer facing stuff alongside styling the weddings themselves. We also soon outgrew the attic at the studio so we got our first 'proper' 6 roomed showroom which is where we still are now.. although we're outgrowing this one too!
ABOUT THE BUSINESS
We fell in love with all things wedding-y when planning ours. We handmade every aspect of our wedding from scratch, from the bouquets and centrepieces to the overall venue decor and larger props.

So much blood, sweat & tears (literally) went into the props and decorations we made and it genuinely made us sad that the bespoke things we'd created would be used for one day only when so much effort was put into them. That's where inspiration began, and so we decided to turn our passion of weddings into a business so we could share our decor and flowers and allow other happy couples to enjoy them. Which is when The Wedding Attic was founded.
MEET THE TEAM

Although it's our business, we can't take all of the credit and have a little growing team of helpers for that extra pair of hands on the wedding days. Here you can put faces to names and read a little bit about each of us and what part in the business we each play.
JADE - CREATIVE
Jade is the 'front of house' of the business, and the creative planner and designer. As the head stylist and florist, she will be the one who takes the lead and talks all things wedding with you at your consultation.
On your wedding day, she'll be the one who will dress your venue, and also the one who bosses Joe around telling him where to put things.
JOE - LOGISTICS
Whilst Joe plays an equal part in the business, he's much more 'behind the scenes' (just because most brides don't want to talk flowers and candles to a beefy bearded tattooed guy), but without him the business wouldn't run. He's part of all consultations so he can get to know you too, and does all of the paperwork side of things.

On your wedding day, Joe is the logistics, the one you'll see driving the van, lifting the heavy items, or with tools in his hands (or being bossed around by Jade).
EMMA - ASSISTANT
Emma is Jade's right hand woman, she's a styling assistant and comes along to every wedding to help make it look beautiful. Emma only assists on the day itself so it's unlikely you'll get to meet her in the lead up, but she'll get to know every detail of your wedding beforehand as she helps Jade plan all the creative stuff.

A huge bonus is that she's also a wedding photographer, so we get the best photographs of your decor, and she's even been known to snap a few of the bride walking down the aisle!
WILL - GOPHER
Will is Joe's Dad/ Jade's Father in law, and although he's not 'staff' as such, we couldn't do the weddings without him. Whilst Jade & Joe are out making your wedding look beautiful, Will is at home being the best Grandpa to Martha & Wilf, their two small children.

As the saying goes, what goes up must come down and that includes your decor. So the day following your wedding, you may see Will as he comes along with Joe to collect everything from the venue.
​
The best bit? We don't even have to pay him!
THE SHOWROOM

Here is a glimpse into our wedding showroom which was formerly a dance school that we've recently renovated and turned into our little piece of heaven, and a place we'd love to welcome you to. Check our our 'renovation' story highlight on Instagram to see how we transformed it from a very purple dance studio, to this.
​
We have a drinks station where you will be offered a beverage upon arrival, you'll then be given the opportunity to have a walk around the showroom alone for a few moments whilst we make the drinks. We'll then join you and start discussing and planning ideas. Depending on which style of table your venue has, we'll re-set one of our display tables to show you your ideas in real life.
